you're agreeing to these terms. We don't do fine print tricks—everything here is straightforward.
These rules exist to protect you, protect us, and ensure everyone trains safely and respectfully.
1. Membership & Registration
When you sign up for a membership at Self Will, you're committing to the terms outlined in your
membership agreement. All information you provide must be accurate and current.
- Memberships are non-transferable and personal to the registered member
- You must be at least 16 years old to register without parental consent
- Youth members (under 16) require parental or guardian consent and supervision policies apply
- We reserve the right to refuse or terminate membership at our discretion
- Membership fees are due as specified in your agreement and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
2. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
IMPORTANT: Mixed martial arts, boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and all combat sports
training carry inherent risks of injury. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
You understand and agree that:
- Training in combat sports involves physical contact and risk of injury, including but not limited to bruises, cuts, sprains, fractures, concussions, or more serious injuries
- You are participating voluntarily and assume all risks associated with your participation
- You release Self Will Fitness & MMA Club, its owners, instructors, staff, and members from any liability for injuries sustained during training
- You are responsible for informing instructors of any medical conditions, injuries, or limitations before training
- You will follow all safety instructions and use required protective equipment
- You train at your own pace and are responsible for your own limitations
3. Medical Clearance & Health Requirements
Your health is your responsibility. Before beginning training:
- You confirm you are physically and mentally fit to participate in intense physical activity
- If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or health concerns, you must consult a physician before training
- You agree to immediately inform instructors if you experience any health issues during training
- You are required to disclose any infectious diseases or conditions that could affect other members
- We reserve the right to require medical clearance before allowing participation
4. Code of Conduct
Self Will is built on respect, discipline, and commitment. All members must:
- Treat instructors, staff, and fellow members with respect at all times
- Maintain proper hygiene—clean training gear, trimmed nails, and shower before training
- Follow all facility rules and instructor directions without argument
- Control your ego—tap early, train safely, and prioritize learning over winning
- Never train under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Refrain from aggressive, violent, or disrespectful behavior outside of controlled training
- Report any unsafe conditions or behavior to staff immediately
Zero Tolerance Policy
The following will result in immediate termination of membership without refund:
- Fighting or aggressive behavior outside of sanctioned training
- Harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind
- Theft or damage to property
- Violation of safety protocols that endanger others
- Use of illegal substances on premises
5. Payment Terms
Clear expectations, no surprises:
- All membership fees must be paid according to your selected payment schedule
- Payment is due in advance for the upcoming period
- Late payments may result in suspension of membership privileges
- Membership fees are generally non-refundable
- Price changes may occur with 30 days' written notice
- You are responsible for canceling your membership according to the cancellation policy
6. Cancellation & Freeze Policy
Life happens. Here's how we handle it:
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing at least 30 days before the next billing cycle
- Members may freeze memberships for medical reasons with proper documentation
- Freeze periods are subject to approval and may incur a nominal fee
- Contract-based memberships have specific cancellation terms outlined in your agreement
- No refunds will be issued for partial months or unused sessions
7. Facility Rules & Equipment Use
- Respect all equipment—it's expensive and everyone uses it
- Return all equipment to its proper place after use
- Report damaged or unsafe equipment immediately
- Personal belongings are your responsibility—we are not liable for lost or stolen items
- Use of facility outside scheduled class times may be restricted
- Proper training attire is required at all times
- Recording or photography requires explicit permission from staff and all participants
8. Minors & Youth Programs
For members under 18 years old:
- Parental or legal guardian consent is required for all youth members
- Parents/guardians must sign all waivers and agreements on behalf of minors
- Youth training is supervised and age-appropriate
- We maintain a safe environment and have zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior
- Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child follows all facility rules
9. Privacy & Data Protection
We respect your privacy:
- Personal information collected during registration is kept confidential
- We use your information only for membership management and communication
- We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties without consent
- You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information
- Surveillance cameras may be used for security purposes
10. Intellectual Property
- All training materials, techniques, and content are proprietary to Self Will
- Unauthorized recording, reproduction, or distribution of classes is prohibited
- Our name, logo, and branding are protected trademarks
- You may not use our intellectual property without written permission
11. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be
communicated through posted notices at the facility or via email. Continued use of our
services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
12. Dispute Resolution
If any disputes arise:
- We encourage direct communication to resolve issues amicably
- All disputes will be governed by the laws of Maharashtra, India
- Any legal proceedings will be conducted in the courts of Mumbai jurisdiction
